DFG Architetti made a significant contribution, with no fewer than two presentations – the first on bioclimatic design and the second on the enhancement and optimisation of spaces – at the three-day ‘Idee in Cantiere’ event, organised by the association ‘Oltremodo – professionisti in sinergia’, with construction and renovation as its central theme. The event concluded on 6 December in Ragusa, proving a great success in terms of both audience turnout and content. Professionals and companies came together in the exhibition spaces of the Chamber of Commerce’s Borsa Hall to build, renovate and inform. These were the key priorities of the group – comprising founding members and partners – who organised 20 free workshops on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, open to all members of the public. A wide range of topics were covered over the three days: from tax matters to technical issues, right through to communication strategies. The various sessions provided an overview of tax relief for renovation, solutions for achieving balance and synergy between buildings and their existing systems, social media and corporate communications, comfort in homes and workplaces, as well as energy audits to resolve energy consumption issues and home automation. The three-day event also featured an exhibition area dedicated to companies and founding members, with information panels highlighting their professional presence in the local area. “These are local companies and professionals who have been active in the field for several years,” said President Davide Scrofani, “with considerable experience and, above all, a willingness to collaborate; it is thanks to them that we are able to carry out these interesting projects with excellent results. In effect, a team that caters to the various needs of both those looking to build a home and those with requirements relating to their professional activities. They will certainly be able to offer advice and solutions.” The three-day event proved, in fact, to be a multimedia information hub and a point of reference for everyone, enabling them to explore issues relating to housing as well as, for example, the installation of prefabricated buildings. Among the objectives that the Oltremodo association has set itself is to provide support not only for citizens but also for the public administration, which wishes to develop innovative services and promote cultural awareness across the region. The association’s internal resources are already receiving excellent feedback, confirming that the synergy between the parties is an indispensable ‘partner’.
