In the entrance hall, the reception area stands out: a glass prism ‘wrapped’ in a folded green sheet that appears to float in space, hovering a few centimetres above the floor. This structure takes centre stage and stands out within the unified space, establishing a symbiotic relationship. The black ceiling, criss-crossed by suspended light fixtures, eliminates any sense of height, creating the illusion of an infinite space.
The interplay of the architectural elements creates a strong sense of a dynamic, fast-paced and contemporary space.
The corridors feature fitted walls serving the classrooms, which are indicated by signage and lighting integrated into the door reveals. A large ‘R’ has been drawn on the walls using a perspective projection, situated near the reception area: when viewed from close up, the letter is fully legible and helps to reduce the perceived depth of the corridor itself; as one moves away from this point, walking down the corridor, the green-painted sections gradually lose their meaning, becoming mere abstract wall decorations.
The multi-purpose hall has been designed to take on different spatial configurations depending on whether it is used as a conference room, a catwalk, an events venue, a photography studio, etc. Depending on the configuration adopted, the walls themselves can become light fixtures or display panels.
